Parade Regulations
- Candy may not be thrown from parade partipants to spectators. Candy MUST be handed out directly.
- In cooperation with the Findlay Fire Department, all floats must have a 5 lb. ABC dry chemical commercial or residential fire extinguisher on the float at all times.
- Walkers accompanying vehicles/floats must walk beside the vehicle/float, NOT in front or behind the vehicle and must not approach the vehicle while it is in motion.
- Derogatory messages, alcohol consumption and questionable content displayed to crowd will not be tolerated. Remember this is a children-oriented event, so make sure your message is appropriate for the audience.
- HLAA retains the right to refuse any participant for any reason.
- All parade participants will abide by directions given by parade staff for line-up and dismissal to parade route.
- If you have animals you are required to clean up after them!
- Due to limited space in the line up area, HLAA retains the right to refuse entry when a safe lot capacity has been reached. Your best assurance of being in the parade is to register on time.
- The easternmost parking lot at Marathon will be a drive through lane in which walkers or riders can be dropped off. Please instruct participants to use this lot for drop offs.
